Infoseek is a moderate size search engine with growing popularity since its
recent partnership with Disney to form the Go Network. Joining with the Go
Network also enhanced its features to include communities, searching, shopping
among other free services. Infoseek first began its portal in early 1995.

Infoseek makes use of META tags, particularly the Keywords Tag, Description Tag and your webpage Title. |

Infoseek does not use any spidering, so in order to list all your pages, you need to submit each page individually |

Infoseek indexes all visible text, image maps and ALT image tags but does not support frames nor HTML comments. Upper and lower case are also recognized differently |

| Submission Time |
Getting listed in Infoseek is fairly quick, normally within a few days. During certain periods, Infoseek's Add URL option is offline for routine updates and is temporarily unavailable. In addition, you may only submit your URL once per 24 hour period. |
